Kikuyu Grass Pennisetum Clandestinum

MAIN FEATURES

Kikuyu grass is a perennial species, which forms a turf of intermediate texture, with robust rhizomes and stolons that give considerable resistance to the sod. The culms have a weakly erect habit and produce a high number of leaves. It is a species that spreads rapidly by vegetative means. It adapts to medium-textured, humid and not perfectly drained soils. With low and frequent cuts, it forms a dense and compact turf. Being a macrotherm it does not adapt well to low temperatures. Recommended use: Gardens, playgrounds, camping grounds and areas subject to erosion.
